This blog serves as something of a sandbox for me to work out future projects. If you go back through the shiny new Categories feature and click on some of my books, you’ll be able to see how they progressed prior to publication. This is particularly true of Long Live Death and Walls of Men. I find that “writing out” a problem is a great way to hone ones thoughts. I should mention that J.R.R. Tolkien did this frequently to work out plot points or background stories. “Thinking on the page” is another term for it.
All of which is to introduce a series of posts examining the factors that come into play regarding a potential invasion of Taiwan by mainland China. I do not have any plan laid out, I’m just going to write what comes to me.
And speaking of new Categories, I’m thinking of dipping back into firearms lore. This would be similar to the Geek Guns at Bleeding Fool, exploring a particular type of firearm or maybe addressing things like calibers, ballistics and stuff. I actually have a few essays already written that I share among my friends but I might use them here. If you have a strong feeling either way, let me know in the comments.
